Every gym splits the work differently. In one, the manager approves every payment. In another, the owner keeps the money side to themselves. Roles in Kineto now bend to fit how you run things.
Settings › Team & permissions has one column per role and a switch for each ability: approving payments, adding and editing staff, plans, the Shop or the Cafe, refunds, voiding unpaid invoices, waiving fees, recording expenses, the audit log, payroll and more. Presets fill in the grid in one go if you’d rather start from something sensible. Switching an ability on asks you to confirm when you save, so nobody gets one by accident.
Two abilities decide whether a role can see a screen at all: the audit log and payroll. Without them, those screens simply aren’t there.
On Velocity, owners can also add their own roles. Click New role, pick the role it’s Based on, and adjust from there. Everyone’s role shows by its own name in the top bar and on the Staff list.
Sales staff is a login just for the till. You choose whether each person sells in the Shop, the Cafe or both, and they land straight on checkout at their own branch, with no access to Members or Payments. A Shop/Cafe manager also looks after the catalogue, stock, refunds and that counter’s expenses at their branch. Both need the Shop or the Cafe.
Instructors now open Kineto on My day: their classes and PT sessions in time order, and what’s up next. From their own class roster they can check members in from 30 minutes before the class until 2 hours after it ends, on the same rules as the kiosk, and undo a check-in within 10 minutes. Anyone with something to sort out is sent to the front desk. Where you run personal training, they can also book and move their own sessions and set their availability.
Book a 20-minute demo and we'll help you bring your members across and set up your first week.
