Questions

Is Kineto right for you?

The honest answers — what Kineto does today, who it suits, and what it takes to get going. If your question is not here, ask us.

Your kind of place

I run a gym with open floor time and a few classes. Does that work?

Yes, and it is the most common setup. Open floor time is set up as a program of its own alongside your classes, so members check in for a gym session the same way they check in for a class, and both show up in your attendance figures. Monthly memberships, day passes and class packs all sit side by side.

Does Kineto suit a yoga or pilates studio?

Yes. Monthly memberships, fixed-term memberships, class packs and one-off drop-ins all work today. Every class has a cap, and once it fills up the next person joins a waiting list — when someone cancels, their place is offered on automatically, so you are not refilling classes by hand.

I run a martial-arts academy. Will it fit?

Yes. Group your classes by program — BJJ, Muay Thai, kids’ classes — and set an age range or a single gender on any class, which Kineto checks at the door. Waivers are signed on screen before a first session, and you can put a member on a plan that only opens the programs they have paid for. Belt and rank tracking is coming soon.

I am a personal-training studio, mostly one to one. Is this too much?

No. Training has its own board: sell a block of sessions, set each trainer’s working hours, and book one-to-one, small-group or online sessions against them. Kineto warns you before it double-books a trainer, and each member’s card shows how many sessions they have left.

Does it work for a functional-fitness gym?

Yes. Put your sessions on the timetable with a firm cap and a coach on each one, and a waiting list handles the overflow. Members can be on a monthly plan, a block of sessions or a drop-in. Kineto tracks who came and how full each session was, though it does not keep leaderboards or lift records.

We are a sports or community club. Is Kineto for us?

It fits well if your club runs sessions on a timetable — a swim squad, an athletics group, a boxing club — with a membership list, a coach on each session and dues to collect. It is worth knowing that Kineto schedules sessions your members attend; it does not handle renting out a court, lane or pitch by the hour.

Can I use it for a swim school or kids’ activity centre?

Yes. Set an age range on each session so the right children land in the right group, take a parent’s signature on the waiver before the first lesson, and sell terms or blocks of lessons. Each child is their own member on their own plan, so siblings are billed separately today. Family pricing is coming soon.

Can I run more than one location?

Yes. Add a second location and a Branches screen appears on its own, with figures for each branch and for the whole business. Staff can be tied to one branch or given access across all of them, and you can move a member from one branch to another without setting them up again.

I am one instructor with a small roster. Is Kineto overkill?

Not at all. You can be up and running in an afternoon with one plan, one class and your first few members, and a checklist inside Kineto walks you through it. Nothing you are not using gets in your way, and the bigger pieces are there when you grow into them.

What it does today

Do I have to chase everyone for money myself?

Kineto raises each member’s bill on its own overnight, so nobody types them in. It then emails the member for you: a nudge before the money is due, a reminder once it is late, and a warning before their membership runs out — each on a timing you choose. When the money comes in, your team records it against the bill and Kineto sends the receipt and moves the member’s "Paid up to" date forward.

Can I stop staff booking money in without me seeing it?

Yes, and you choose how tight it is. If the person taking the money is allowed to confirm it, the payment goes straight onto the books and the receipt sends in the same action — an owner always can, a manager can unless you say otherwise, and the front desk can only if you switch it on. Anyone else’s entry sits under "Awaiting confirmation" until a manager approves it.

How do I see who owes me money?

One screen lists everyone who owes money right now, oldest first, and each member’s page shows "Money owed", "How late" they are and what they are "Paid up to". Your team can take the payment at the front desk without leaving the check-in screen, and if a bill was raised in error, "Cancel this bill" clears it without touching anything the member has already paid.

How do members get in the door?

Either your front desk checks them in, or you leave a tablet on the counter and members type a six-digit code. Before letting anyone through, Kineto checks their membership is live and not frozen, that their plan covers this time of day, that any waiver is signed, and that they meet any age or gender rule on the class. Each of those can stop someone, just warn your staff, or be switched off.

Can I get waivers and membership agreements signed?

Yes. Members sign on screen with their finger or a mouse, and Kineto seals the signature into a PDF kept on their record with the exact wording they agreed to. You decide whether an unsigned waiver stops someone training, just shows your staff a warning, or is not required at all.

What can I see about how the business is doing?

Five areas: growth, money, attendance, classes and trainers, and how well you hold on to members. You can see how full your classes run, who has stopped showing up, how much is owed and how long it has been outstanding, and how your takings split across cash, bank transfer and card. Any of it can be pulled out as a file for your accountant.

Can I bring my existing members across?

Yes. Bring your plans over from a spreadsheet first, then your members, and set each recurring member’s start date so they land on the right renewal day. Their history comes with them, and we help you through it rather than leaving you to it.

What is coming soon?

An app members can use themselves, to join and book their own place. Text and WhatsApp reminders alongside the emails we send today. Belt and rank tracking for martial-arts academies. And family pricing, so households on several memberships are billed together. We build in the open — the Kinetolog has the running log of what has shipped.

Getting started

How do I get started?

Book a short demo and we will walk you through Kineto using your own numbers rather than a sample gym. If it suits you, we set your account up, help you bring your members and plans across, and stay with you through your first month of billing.

How long does it take to set up?

Most studios are running inside a week. You set your time zone, create your plans, add your programs and rooms, decide what should stop someone at the door, invite your team and build your first week of classes. A checklist inside Kineto tracks all of that and ticks itself off as you go.

Do I need to buy any hardware?

Only a tablet or a spare laptop if you want members checking themselves in at the counter. Everything else runs in a web browser on whatever you already have. Kineto does not drive card machines, turnstiles or door locks.

What does it cost?

It depends on how big you are and how many locations you run, so we quote it for your studio rather than list a single number. Tell us about your setup on the contact form and we will come back to you with a plan that fits.

Still got a question?

Book a 20-minute demo and we'll answer it on your own studio's numbers.
